With our busy baby season winding down and a lessening need for direct animal care volunteers, fall is a great time to explore alternative opportunities at Greenwood Wildlife.
Thrift Store and Consignment Gallery Attendant – volunteers are needed at the retail center, conveniently located near a bus stop just east of CU in Boulder. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these stores go to help fund the rehabilitation of wild animals. Volunteers at the store help with a variety of tasks including stocking shelves, pricing items, helping customers, ringing up sales, and much more depending on experience and skills. This is a great way of building your resume with retail experience.
Front Desk Volunteer – Front desk volunteers are needed every day of the week, including weekends, 9am to 4pm, to help answer phones, address the public’s questions about wildlife, and admit new patients. Additional tasks include assisting with fundraising and organizational needs. This is a great opportunity to learn about non-profit management, wildlife, and operating as a front desk staff in a busy environment.
