isis

Every year Greenwood sees a handful of orphaned baby Red Foxes. This year we have seen one that was left behind by it’s mother when a dog posed too much of a threat for her to return. We also had one come in with a severely broken leg when it’s mother was hit by a car carrying it across the road. Just recently, we were graced with Isis; this poor baby who was pulled from her den covered in mange; a mite that eats the skin of it’s victims. Isis is getting soothing oatmeal baths to relieve her itchy skin. Soon she will be fully recovered and be placed with the other kits so as to be properly socialized.

You can see more pictures of Isis and her “step-siblings” on our facebook page!
