Update: No animals admitted from Four Mile Canyon Fire

As of yet, Greenwood has not had any wildlife admitted as a result of the Four Mile Canyon Fire in Boulder. We appreciate those of you who have contacted us to see if we need assistance. We will keep the community posted if this changes.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to care for the 70+ baby squirrels, 80+ raccoons as well as all the other animals we have in our care right now. We ask that volunteers can commit a 5-hour shift once a week. To learn more, visit our volunteer page.

Cottontail shot by blowgun darts is recovering

The Eastern Cottontail brought in by Animal Control on Saturday is recovering here at Greenwood.  The rabbit was originally spotted a week or so ago wandering a Superior neighborhood with two eight-inch blowgun darts impaled in her body. After an exhaustive search, she was finally rescued and is now in the care of our wildlife rehabilitators.
