STEP 4: I've rescued a baby bird, now what?
Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center depends on caring
people like you to help us rescue, rehabilitate and release
injured and orphaned wildlife. You’ve now become a Wildlife
Rescuer. Congratulations!
Your job might be completed, but now the difficult job of healing begins. Our trained staff and volunteers will work to ensure that your rescued animal will live a long and healthy life. This is no small feat and our dedication to Colorado wildlife is expensive, just look at some of the costs:
- $10/day for baby raccoons; 150-day average stay,
- $8/day for baby foxes; 120-day average stay,
- $5/day for baby birds; 30-day average stay,
- $8/day for baby squirrels; 90-day average stay
